Hi, I’m Deserae, and I’m so happy you’re here.

Raised under the brilliant living skies of Saskatchewan, I grew up running wild in wheat fields. I was a farm kid and tom boy, attending church on Sundays and spending time with my grandma any chance I could. She was a dreamer like me. She was a pure soul, believed in magic and was a beautiful example of warmth, love and positivity.

My best friends through school were my teachers and sisters; artists, visionaries and adventurers. We danced to our own beat. It was in junior high school that I found astrology, or maybe it found me. It resonated with me!! There was wisdom, meaning and purpose to beg found. I looked inward and I felt seen and understood. It was the start of my belief and knowing that everything is connected and everything is energy, and I found comfort in the knowing my life was being weaved together by a golden thread. Growing up, I learned early on that I could read people’s energy, have a ‘knowing’ about things, would see spirits and hear messages. With astrology, these messages came through clearer.

In my 20’s, I moved to different cities to study and work with my creative talents, until I moved to Calgary, Alberta to follow my passion for art and design and earned my Bachelor of Design in Photography. For the past 15+ years, I have been working as full time photographer, capturing soul-connection love and captivating portraiture. However, it wasn’t until my husband passed from cancer in 2019 that I found deeper meaning again in astrology and spirituality. It was through that loss that my heart expanded and my soul reached for more.

To give some insight into my own birth chart, I am a Pisces Sun, Sagittarius Moon and Pisces Rising with a stellium in Virgo in my 7th house of relationships - I am a romantic and a dreamer, and relationships are a mirror for me. This is what my soul came here to live out as my purpose; to study, witness and experience connection, love and relationship in its truest and most raw and authentic form.

For me, photography is an art, telling a story of a moment in time in a person’s life story, and astrology is much the same. It mirrors back to us and reveals truth.
